automatic loading of .hol file

I want to have users select (click) a file from an intranet page and have it
automatically add .hol daily events to their calendar.
Any thoughts on where I should start?

did you try clicking on the HOL file to see if it works as you want?
Nothing will do it 'silently' - the user will need to interact with the
dialog.
