Automatic copy triggered by change in date

I monitor the effectivness of the machines in our machine shop. One parameter
changes during the whole day. To make statistic out of it I need to copy this
at a specific time every day.
When the date changes, I want to automatically copy one cell over to another
data sheet.
Does anyone know a solution to this?
