Automated filter? Automated replace?

I'm cleaning up large datafeeds . . .

Can a filter/macro be made to delete rows containing any of a list of words?

Can one also replace a list of spaces and charactors in columns?

The answer to both is yes...I suspect the next question is how?

Do you want the theory or what have you tried so far

I use Auto Filter on the header row (Panes frozen) and mostly Custom.

Function I need is 'contains', (which is not accessable without scrolling
down the way too short dropdown each time.)

Rows with filter words are deleted or edited.

Lots of / and <, -, >, and spaces to find and replace with Edit->Replace

Check progress with Auto Filter dropdown.
