Hello all. Is there a way to set System Restore to auatomatically create a
restore point at every bootup? I turn on the system each morning and would
like to create a restore point at that time, but have to do it manually.
Some kind of automation in this would be helpful.
Thanks.

Restore points are normally taken every day, anyway, just not
necessarily first thing in the morning. Any particular reason why
you want them then, rather than whenver they would normally
occur?

A restore point is taken every 24 hours or when something (like an install
is done.). It is automatic (unless your using old installers.)
AR keeps up to 90 days of restore points (if disk space is available.)
Driver rollback is automatic via last good, safe mode, or manully va the
device drive properies (rolback driver).

What is it that makes you want a restore point that may not be any different
than the last one?

I just tried to do a restore to before I just installed a prgram. I forgot
to set a point, and there was no point for today. Last one was sometime
yesterday. I thought it would be good to have a point created upon daily
bootup.
Thanks.

Doug Knox has a script at his site www.dougknox.com in XP Utilities -
Single click System Restore point. If you have that in your Startup
folder it should do the job (I run it as a scheduled task in the small
hours)
