How do I write the Visual Basic code to automate the dialogue box 'date and
Time' in PowerPoint.

Which dialog box is that? Headers/Footers or something else?

What exactly do you need to accomplish?

I would like the Header and Footer dialogue box to be visible to the user
when PowerPoint automatically opens from a template in Normal View with the
outline/slide panes visible.

I'm having trouble understanding what you mean, exactly.

Do you want to have the dialog box display as the result of the user starting a new
document based on a particular template?

Problem: You can do that sort of thing in Word, but not in PowerPoint. It doesn't
run code automatically when the user opens a template or document.

If you can create an addin and get the users to install that, there are possible
workarounds; otherwise, no.
