autohide doesn't work

Hi,
when I set taskbar to autohide, it works for some time and then doesn't
hide itself anymore, hiding the other application partially.
After restart, for a while everything is normal agian. The PC is new, with
enough memory.
I there something what can be done to fix the problem?
 
If you want to be sure that your taskbar will be visible whenever you point
to it, select the Keep the taskbar on top of other windows check box and
also select the Auto-hide the taskbar check box.

That's exactly what I'm doing.
It works only for few hours as I wrote.

Same here. On bar, right-click, Properties, I check AutoHide and Keep
on Top, OK or Apply. Works as advertised for a few hours or days, and
then I notice some full screen window is partially obscured by the
non-hid taskbar. The task-bar has returned to non-hide behavior, and
some task windows occupy the full screen.
