Word XP. This is what happens:

I typed a sentence, then pressed enter.
I typed another sentence, then pressed enter.
I typed a heading, then pressed enter.

I highlighted ONLY the heading, and clicked on the Center icon.

The ENTIRE document centers.

I highlighted ONLY the heading, and clicked on Bold.

ALL the text in the document is now bolded.


How do I correct this? Please help me. It's VERY annoying.
