autofilters lock up

When using Excel 2003, I can turn the AUtofilters on and they work great for
a while but occationally, they lock up - menaing that I can no longer click
on the arrows and use them. I have to turn off the autofilter feature from
the menu bar and then turn it back on to get it to work again.

It happens only in this file and it happens to anyone who is using it
regardless of the computer it is opened on.

Any thoughts on why this might happen? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi John.....
I don't know the answer, but I do have a similar problem in XL97. If I turn
AutoFilter On and Off 9 times, then it somehow corrupts the file and leaves
some of the AutoFilter dropdown arrows on, and even deletes some drawing
objects.

I'll be watching and hopeing you get an answer.
