Is there a limit to the number of rows Autofilter can
function with?

Thanks for the reference, but it doesn't appear to speak
to the problem I am having. I have a sheet with
approximately 35,000 rows, and the Autofilter function
consistently stops searching at Row 23003. i am trying to
determine if this is a normal response or if there is a
way around this.

Not that it will be any consolation, but I can't seem to recreate your problem. What version of Excel are you using? Do you have several empty Rows consecutively before or after Row 23003? I just AutoFiltered for 50,000 rows in Excel 2003, and it worked fine.

No, it's not a normal response. Row 23004 may be blank, so that's where
the filter stops.

To check the range, select a cell near the top of the list
Hold the Ctrl key, and press the * key, to select the range.
Scroll down, to see if extends beyond row 23004.
If it doesn't, delete the blank rows, which may be hidden

If it does, remove the AutoFilter, select the range, then reapply the
AutoFilter.
