I want to rebuild my autofil email list in Outlook 2003. I have a bunch of
old email addresses that I want eliminated so I thought that erasing them
all and rebuilding would be the answer. Can I control how long an email
address is in the list before it gets automatically purged? How do I manage
that list?
Is there anyway to erase all the names that are currently "stored" and start
over?
Thanks in advance,
Christopher

You can erase specific addresses from the cache by using your up/down arrow
keys to select the unwanted entry and then pressing Delete. You can delete
the entire cache by cloing Outlook and deleting the file
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook\something.NK2 where "somthing" is your mail
profile name.

No. 1,000 names get remember and I believe it's a first-in-first-out list,
meaning as you add new ones and you've reached the 1,000 entryu mark, the
ones oldest in the list get purged.
How do I manage that list?

There's a commercial tool here that can do that: http://www.ingressor.com/

See above.
