My grandson has Win XP Pro edition installed on his notebook. His file
system is NTFS. He's got a "Home Group' established, for his brother,
sister, his Mother, and his Father.
He is trying to install "Type To Learn" on his PC. I realize this is a
16-bit application. But he's getting the following error message:
1. In the Blue Banner across the top of the error message block, there's
this statement:
"16 bit Windows Subsystem"
2. The error message in the block reads:
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. This system is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the
application."
I tried the "Application Compatibility Wizard" to no avail. I chose each
compatibility option in turn. Nothing worked.
I could get a 32-bit version of "Type To Learn", but I'm not even sure that
would solve the problem.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
