Autodetect Problems

I am attempting to transfer the files and settings from my old cpu to a new
one, both running XP Sp2. I am using a crossover cable, but when the wizard
starts the autodetect, it searches for a connections but nothing happens.
The cpus are connected thru their ethernet connections and not serial ports.
Is there something else I should be doing?

You might be missing a few steps. To use Ethernet you need to
set up a home network first.
