I am attempting to use the AutoCorrect function to change
the text: "ohm." to become the ASCII-087 from the Symbol
Font (this is the Greek symbol for ohm). Any Ideas would
be appricated.
Thank You,

In a blank cell, insert>symbol and insert that omega
symbol. Then do ctrl-H for find/replace. find '.ohm' then
copy the cell with the omega into the replace. Good Luck.

I just did this using the character map

From the Windows Start button go to Start>Programs>Accesories>System Tools>Character Map

Then select the symbol you want and copy. I typically use Arial so I found the omega in the Arial font set

Then in the AutoCorrect "with" field, hit -ctrl- V to paste it in

Good Luck

That is a good way to perform this funciton manually.
Only one problem, that is not what I am attempting to
do. I would like to have this function performed
automatically.
Thanks for the input.

Mark,
Thanks for the input. Using your infromation I went to
the Character Map and discovered that the symbol that I
wanted was "Alt + U + 2126". This gave me the exact
function that I wanted. When I went to the "Auto
Correct" tool and placed "ohm." in the "Replace" window
and placed "Alt+U+2126" in the "With" window, everything
worked perfect. Now when I type "ohm" I have the
word "ohm", and when I type "ohm." I get the ohm symbol.

Thank You again,
Bud Budworth

Hey, thanks for your help. I just posted a question concerning the "circle r" symbol for "registered." I deleted that line from the autocorrect by mistake, and this helped me get it back. Thanks.
