On several machines, all running Win2K w/Office XP/2002, we have the same
(small but irritating) problem. The Outlook editor's AutoCorrect feature does
not work ... at all. All of these have it set to work in Options and we have
Wordmail turned off (we can't use it on these machines because it wreaks
havoc at shutdown; there's always a hanging Word task that cannot close --
but that's another issue entirely).
At any rate, I have set everything properly on these machines, that I know
of, to get Outlook to activate AutoCorrect. But it does nothing whatsoever.
I understand that it would work better in Wordmail, but since that option's
not open to us, due to some unknown bug in Word that I don't feel like
diagnosing, we have to rely on Outlook itself. A lower-functioning
AutoCorrect is acceptable, however, a NON-FUNCTIONING one is not!
What do I have to do to get this working?
