When I type the error "Hwoever," it does not correct. I have two autocorrect
entries for this, one with the comma and one without. Neither one works as I
continue typing the sentence. Also, when doing spellcheck, I will select the
autocorrect option for a particular typo, and it will ask me if I want to
redefine the autocorrect entry, indicating the correction has already been
set up. Any ideas on why Word would "skip" certain errors but not others?

Thanks in advance!

Hi MrsMac,

Word corrects it if I have this stored as plain text in the AutoCorrect dialog in Word 2007 (Alt, T, A) as

Replace: hwoever
With: however

Are you storing it with the capital H or as 'Formatted text'?

Is the spell check example for the same word or a different one?

Hi Bob,

The options to use plain or formatted text are grayed out. I have deleted
all the autocorrect entries for this word and started over. I have entered it
with no capitalization and no punctuation. I also entered a variety of
combinations of the error in case that was an additional problem. It seems to
be working. I still don't understand the arbitrary autocorrecting --
autohyphenated words don't correct, etc.

Thank you for your help!
