How do I switch off autocomplete?

Go to Control Panel/ Internet Option/Advanced/
untick the USE INLINE AUTO COMLETE

Open IE, click tools, options, content, click the autocomplete tab, and
disable it... The other suggestion will just stop it from showing in-line
and that won't actually turn it off. UNtick the options in the menu and you
should be all set.
