Autocomplete passwords

Autocomplete does not fill in user names or passwords. Autocomplete is
turned on and works for internet addresses.
 
This in in Outlook 2003. I get a prompt for saving the password but it does
not seem to save anything.
 
Now that I think about it the problem is in IE. It started when I installed
Outlook 2003.
