Autocomplete not working

My autocomplete function is not working. When I type a name into one of the
address fields in a new message, it does not return matches from my contacts
list into that field. I have enabled the "Automatically Check Names" option
in Advanced setup, but it is not working.

Have you tried sending to that name before? Outlook builds its autocomplete
cache on the fly based on typed and resolved names - it does not use the
contact folder to pull from.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Yes, I send to these email addresses several times a day, at least. And
every time I need to type the entire email address into the To: field, it
never autocompletes for me.

What version of OL are you using? OL does not autocomplete in OL2000, just
2002(XP) and 2K3.
