Hi!
We have a windows 2000 enviroment and will be upgrading to windows 2003.

Today we have 2 W2k Domain Controller they have autocad installed.
Is there a way to performe an in-place upgrade of the windows 2000 DC to 2003 DC without reinstalling /reconfiguring autocad.

Does anyone recomend any step by step approuch or a solution.

Will be greatful for any repond.
Thanks.!!

Just a question - Why is AutoCad installed on a DC? Do you actually have
users logging in at the console of this machine?

That was my first thought, too....is this a terminal server? Best not to
make it a DC, then, at all.

To the OP: are you talking instead about the Autocad 2003 licensing
services? Check with your reseller/tech support for Autocad on that one.
Before you do any upgrades, you must do good backups first, anyway...just in
case. :-)

AutoCAD will not run more then two concurrent sessions on a terminal server
so I would say not

Agreed.

AutoCad on a Terminal Server is generally not a recommended solution. And
installing Terminal Services in Application Mode is generally not
recommended on a Domain Controller. In fact, with SBS2003 that is no longer
an option. You would need a second server....

Thanks for your answer! I was refering to the Autocad 2003 licensing
service.

I don't know if it will be a problem or not - I've never tried an upgrade in
place w/that. I'd contact the mfr to check...
