Auto Update of DNS records

We have internet domain as mycompany.com

WE added another domain to this domain in ISP's dns entry as
sw.mycompany.com

How this record is not updated in our active directory domain of
mycompany.com inside our windows 2000 domain controller ?

so that the users inside can ping the address ? Like I can ping the address
from outside but not from inside ?

If you are trying to get to your external website by using www.mydomain.com,
and you have a split-horizon evironment, where the internal AD domain name
is the same as the external public domain name and you are using your
private DNS servers, then all you would have to do is create a record called
www under your internal zone and give it the external IP address. If the
record is 'sw', as you stated, than you can just create that record and give
it the external IP. This way your internal folks can get to it.

You have "split horizon" DNS service with separate content DNS
servers. DNS database content is _not_ automatically copied
from the "external" content DNS server(s) to the "internal" one(s).
