Auto Update Issues

My computer installed auto updates and now when I turned on the computer, no
peripherals will start. No monitor, keyboard, mouse or usb will work. I have
tested them on other computer and they are all fine. Help!!!
 
How far up does the system go? DO you see the Windows XP loading screen
(scrolling bar)?
If so, you can boot.

Do you have the Microsoft Windows XP Installation CD? If so, boot from it,
get into Recovery Console, and run chkdsk /p c:
 
I get no power to them at all. The monitor just continues to flash the power
button as if the computer was turned off. When I unplug the monitor, it comes
right on letting me know the cord is unplugged.
