Auto text

Dear All,

One o Autotext options is to convert (*text*) to Bold Test Format
automatically and (_text_) to Italic automatically. This option is working
only on composing an e-mail because I'm using the Word 2003 as mail editor.
But when I try to use such tool or special characters at any normal document.

Can any one help m.

Hi,

This is an AutoCorrect option. You might simply want to try Ctrl-B and
Ctrl-I to turn Bold and Italic formatting on and off. The option is really
intended (I think) to make email messages you receive easier to read rather
than for text entry.

Do you still have these options enabled on the AutoFormat As You Type tab of
Tools | AutoCorrect?

Hi Suzanne,
Yes I have them activated.. The strange thing is that they work when I
write e-mail from the outlook but they don't work from the Winword itself.

I'm afraid I can't think of any plausible explanation for this. I don't
suppose you have "Draft font" enabled or are using Plain Text style or
anything like that?

No Nothing of this, but let me share something with you, I have installed
some new fonts and they have affected the Dots on the Dots and numbering mode
and I've deleted the newely installed SYMBOLS font and the problem has been
solved.

Do you think is it font related issue.??
