Where, how to add my own auto text library in Word 07?

The simplest way is to take the 2003 template containing the
autotexts, remove any macros it might contain, and save the template
in the folder "%appdata%\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks". The
next time you start Word, the autotexts will be available.

Jay,

Thank you for this answer, however, I need more details as I don't
understand. Also, is there a way to simply create the auto text in Word 07? I
can't find where, how to do that. Word 02 was very simple and I am used to
that method.

Many thanks for your help.

Select the text and press ALT+F3 works just the same as it did in earlier
versions only with more options about where to save it.

I assumed that when you wrote "my own auto text library" you understood that
AutoText entries are stored in a template (Normal.dot unless you specified a
different template). If you have an existing template from the old version
of Word, you can make that available in Word 2007. The steps are:

1. Make a copy of the old template (just to be safe, so you have an
untouched backup in case something goes wrong).

2. If the old template contains any macros, you should remove them. Open the
template, press Alt+F8, select the old template's name in the "Macros in"
dropdown, and then select a macro name and click Delete; repeat for each
macro in the list. Save the template and close it, then shut down Word.

3. Use Windows Explorer to copy the old template file from its current
location. Put the cursor in the address box and enter this address:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks

Press Enter to open the Document Building Blocks folder. Paste the template
into that folder.

4. Start Word. When you type the name of an AutoText entry and press F3, you
should get the expanded entry at the insertion point.
