Auto sync to pocket PC

Does anyone know how to keep Windows Media Player to stop automatically
connecting when it 'sees' a connection? When I save music to my PC from a CD
and Sync my Pocket PC, WMP locates every piece of music, photos and
everything else and attempts to load it into my Pocket PC. Is there some way
to turn this feature off? Thank you.

I see a Help item "Synchronizing media items to your device" that seems to
answer your question.
