my coulum wont sum how do i turn it on

Select column. Format Cells. Number..
Alt+Enter at the bottom cell

What happens when you try?

Might be the "numbers" are text.

Format all to General.

Select an empty cell and copy.

Select the range of "numbers" and paste special>add>ok>esc.
