Auto Sum shortcut key?

Can anyone tell/explain to me if it's possible or if there's a keyboard
shortcut to autosum a group of highlighted cells.
I do tons of this and it would be much easier if there were a keyboard
function instead of mouse clicking autosum.

Thanks....This is a sweet forum, IMHO

I have the Shortcut keys on one web page that make it easier to
find. http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/shortx2k.htm

While AutoSum does a very good job at guessing what you what
to do. You might want to use a formula like

B29: =SUM(B2:OFFSET(B29,-1,0)

The advantage is that you can insert a row before row 29 and
the formula is automatically fixed and you don't have to redo them.

More information look for use of OFFSET in

We are answering you from an actual newsgroup.
