Auto Number Corrupt?

Chuck

I have a table using an autonumber increment column as the key.
There are 850 rows in the table.
When I attempt to add a new row I get a key violation. I tried to add the
row right into the table to see the problem and Access is using 35, which has
already been used, as the auto number value.
To complicate things, the autonumber field in this table is used to link
records in another table.
How can I reset the autonumber values while preserving the link to the
second table?
Thank You

Have you tried copying and pasting the table under a new name? See if you
can then successfully add a row to the new table. If so, delete the
original, rename the new one to the original's name and recreate any
relationships it’s a part of.

Alternatively create an empty copy of the table and append the rows from the
original to it.
