Hello,

Where I have a 1 slide presentation, obtained using a hyperlink on a
menu slide, is it possible to automatically be taken back to the menu
slide instead of seeing a black screen with the message "end of slide
show, click to exit"?

That might be easy but how about if a 2 slide show, returning to the
menu slide?!

Cheers,

Geoff

If you are hyperlinking to a different show from the menu slide all you need
is an action button at the last slide to "end show" Make sure that you start
with only the presentationwith the menu slide open. When you hit end show you
will be back at the menu slide

If the show is going to be run on your machine, you can turn off the black
slide. Go to Tools--> Options, View tab and uncheck the last box "End with
black slide". Unfortunately, this is a machine level setting, so it does not
travel with the presentation.

Kathy,

Ah! No go as I need to put the presentations onto a CD!

Cheers

John,

But if I have it right, clicking on the slide will still give the
black page?

Isn't it possible to replace the black page with a more attractive
page of my own?

Cheers

Geoff

You can't replace the black slide. Since you do not want to see the black
screen, at the last slide before you exit, click Slide Show > Slide
Transition. Uncheck On mouse click. This will prevent user from moving to the
black slide.

Now at the last slide, make an action setting that closes the custom show,
which is what John had said earlier on.

See if this helps.

Hello,

I have replied to John in a later thread that having done the above
and used the "Make CD Package", copying files to a folder on my hard
disk, I still get the black screen when clicking on the last slide!

Geoff

You can't replace the black slide, but what John is suggesting avoids it.
You will only see the black slide if you go past the last slide in the
presentation. If you jump out of the presentation before that point, you
won't see the black slide.

Make more sense?
