"Auto-install this application by file extension activation"

When I am posting MSI's to a (Computer assigned) software
install GPO the field "Auto-install this application by
file extension activation" is checked and 'gray'ed out'
not allowing me to uncheck it. Is this by inheritance or?
How to I uncheck it?
If I turn this off will the Software MSI's auto-install
with out waiting for a user interaction? based on
extension requests?
