Auto Image Sizing

CampHelp

Hi...

I would like to create a master template with a locked placeholder for an
image. Is it possible to have the inserted image auto-size itself to the size
of the placeholder?

Thanks.

Hello,

I'm afraid I'm a bit lost. If you insert an image into a placeholder it
should automatically size itself. Or are you trying to insert the image
separate to the placeholder?

Thanks for the response. Let me see if I can clarify a bit...

Essentially, I want to create a master template for numerous employees to
use. I would like all slides to look the same, so I would create a
standard-sized placeholder for any images the others may choose to insert.

These pictures will be various sizes due to different sources.

If a placeholder for an image is created, will ALL inserted pictures
automatically size themselves to fit the placeholder or will some portions of
the inserted image be cropped?

Secondly, how do I go ahead and create a placeholder for an image on the
master template without actually inserting an image?

Thanks!

Hi,

The image will fit but will be cropped. That is, insert a very wide
placeholder and put a rectangle image in it. The top and bottom will be
cropped, but it will fit.

You insert placeholders on the Master Slide area. The following is a good
tutorial but applies to 2007:

I see... so there is no way to have it automatically size itself (w/o
cropping) to the size of the placeholder.

Thank you very much for your assistance and for the link. I am using 2007,
so it will be just fine.
