I have a couple of users working outside the branch office and they
configured their Outlook 97 clients' Out of the office assistant to
automatically forward all incoming messages to their temporary
external mailboxes.
I allowed this to avoid configuring alternate recipients for each one
of them every time they go to work outside (or to a different
location).
It worked smoothly but one day it stopped redirecting the emails to
their accounts.
Does anybody has any idea about how to resolve this?
Thank you very much in advance.

I wouldn't do this - either set up the forward to alternate recipient on the
server, or let them use OWA to get to the mailbox when out of the office.
Setting up autoforward/autoreply to the Internet is rarely a good idea
according to most of the Exchange gurus I know.
