Auto-Formatting in VS.NET designer

I notice that within an <OBJECT> or <APPLET> tag, the
Microsoft visual studio aspx or ascx designer seems to 're-
order' or 're-format' the layout of the attributes.

This has the annoying effect of moving all in-line
comments (using either <%-- --%> or <!-- --> methods) from
their positions to the end of the parameters list.

Can the 'formatting' of web elements be disabled?

I tired altering the various options within the
Tools/Options/HTML Specific menus without success.
