Auto created shortcuts

In "My Network Places" in Win Explorer, it automatically creates shortcut
folders for every resource in a workgroup with fewer than 32 computers. This
can get very annoying. Is there any way to turn this function off? Thanks
 
Greetings,

Open My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options and click the View tab. Clear
the "Automatically search for network folders and printers" checkbox and
click Ok. That should do the trick.
