Auto correction problem

R

Rifat

When I type :
1. class

Word corrects it as
1. Class

I don't want the first letter corrected. I'd like it to stay as it is.
Also I do not want to cancel auto correction.

Any help please?

In Tools > AutoCorrect Options > AutoCorrect, uncheck the option for "Capitalize
first letter of sentences".

Jay thanks for the response.
I am sorry but I could not explain my problem correctly. I use 2007.
And I would like to use autocorrect future but I do not want it to correct
(capitalize that is) after 'a number and period' in any place on the
document, in the beginning or the middle or at the end of any sentence.
Ok. Here is what I did so far: I went to Word Options>Proofing>AutoCorrect
Options
On the AutoCorrect tab>Exceptions and here that I tried to put a word like
1. or 2.
or 23. and so forth. None of them is accepting numbers.
Thanks again
