Hi Everyone

We all know that every time a new user log on to Microsoft Outlook a
Administrator has to configure an outlook profile
Q? How do you automate this process? so user can change workstations as they
please and they can still vie their e-mails.
I think in some of the articles I read there was something about .PRF file
that you need to edit and deploy to workstaions. But that does not help me I
think I am dumb because I do not understand it.
Can some one pease help.

Phakie, do you have roaming profiles implemented for your users? That saves
the Outlook config data to the roaming profile (a share on a server). Then
it only needs to be setup once per user and each user has the setup done for
them no mater what computer they go to.

Otherwise, you need to download the Office Resource kit from the Microsoft
site. There is a wizard in there that will allow you to create a MST
(transform) file. The wizard allows you to edit the msi file you use to
install Office. You can preset many settings such as the default save path
for Word or Excel. You can also set the defaults for whatever email system
you're usin (pop3, exchange, etc).
