Auto complete

I can't select "user names and passwords on forms" on
the auto complete settings in the internet options dialog
box. It is greyed out.

Probably disabled in the registry. Go to Start...Run, type in "regedit" (no quotes), click Okay to open the registry editor. Then go to this key:

HKCU\Software\Policies\ Microsoft\ Internet Explorer\Control Panel
FormSuggest - delete this key or set the value to zero.
