auto change number to dates

im trying to make a schedule, but when i type 7-3 it auto-changes to 3-Jun.

i tried turning off auto correct, but it doesnt work....this is driving me
nuts and the schedule is now late.
 
Pre-format the cells as Text or type an apostrophe before your data.
