For some reason, OUtlook 2007 created archive1.pst.

Any reason why it did this?

I thought it was set to archive.pst as it always was, but auto archive just ran now and I thought I'd check the file and there was archive1.pst there and I don't know how it got there.

What do your auto-archives settings say? Tools menu > Options > Other >
AutoArchive?

Also, check the properties on each of your folders to see if their
AutoArchive settings are set to something different.

Well the default settings says \archive1.pst

Some of my folders have 'Use the default archive folder' and others have 'do not archive'.

Thing is, I don't ever remember changing my default archive folder to 'archive1.pst'.

Is it ok to just copy the contents of the newly created 'archive1.pst' back to 'archive.pst' and change the default archive folder back to 'archive.pst?'

If you do everything right it should be OK but leaving the file as is
wouldn't hurt either.
