I did something to my computer and now the logon window
appears when I turn it on. The account name is
administrator and I get a error "can not log you in check
your account name etc". I had changed the administrator
account name.

Before I did whatever it was I did, the desktop would just
come up when I turned onthe computer. I want this back.
I don't want to have to log on to my home computer
whenever I turn it on.

How do I fix this?

Hi ,
1. Start -> Settings-> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services
2. Right click the 'Net Logon' Service and choose Properties.
3. Click on 'Log on' Tab
4. Choose 'This account' and enter the admin account info.
5. Click Apply, your done.

This can also be set up with TweekUI and some reg hack from winguides.com

Of course you got an error. It was set to auto-login as "administrator",
then you changed the name. At that point, it was trying to login as a user
that no longer existed. What did you expect?
