Hello,
I have created a folder and scanned in a bunch of blue
prints in jpeg format. I also have put a bunch of jpeg
pictures in the folder. When I attempt to import into
front page it allows the pictures and some scanned stuff
but does not allow some of the scanned stuff. I get an
authoring error. Why can some go but not others and can
the prgram tell between picture jpegs and scanned
jpegs....if so how do I fool it.
Thanks
Joe Walsh

As far as I know a .jpg is a .jpg, regardless. Are you sure that nothing
changed between the scanned images that were accepted and those there were
not accepted? Common sense says *something* changed.

After you get the error Reimport the files, if you get the error again cancel the import
The in FP Run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks and see if all the images are there

PS
when you close the web if you get a prompt saying there are files to be imported select the cancel option

Yup,
I agree common sense tells us something changed....however
nothing did unless it was behind the scenes, when I
compare to other .jpegs, all is the same.

I'm thinking that it may have something to do with the file size of the
graphics, since you mentioned that they were scanned. What is the file size
of the graphics that don't get imported?

Silly thought - you've said ".jpeg" several times. Can you save it as a
".jpg"? I know - they are often interchanged but for grins and giggles, try
that.
