Authentication required

Hi all,

I got the following message when i clicked the download
link on a webpage:

"Authentication required!
This server could not verify that you are authorized to
access the URL "/example/download_file.zip". You either
supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or
your browser doesn't understand how to supply the
credentials required.
In case you are allowed to request the document, please
check your user-id and password and try again."

I encountered this quite a few times before on different
websites (but not all), which lead me to think that this
is not the site's problem, but something to do with my
PC. But what?

I got this message and i NEVER prompted for logon id and
password. I have a feeling it has something to do with
the PC's security, but what?

My PC runs on Windows XP, and has ZoneAlarm installed.

Thanx in advance

Jelusia

Is your Security setting in Internet Options
on Medium for Internet zone? Have you fiddled
with the settings in the Security section of the Advanced tab?
You could try setting these two areas to their defaults,
and then restart IE and try again.
