authentication failed yet settings correct and messages come and .

I use outlook 2007. Recently for two email accounts I get error message
"Authentication Failure. Please check your username and password for
account....."
Username and passwords are correct and I can both send and receive on the
accounts, yet ever two to three minutes, the Authentication error messages
pops up on the screen requiring me to click it off. How do I get rid of
these error messages when I have connectivity?
