We have a Windows 2003 member server in a Windows 2000 AD-

When I try to enable the audit policies on the win2003 server, the options
are grayed out-
The local security policy doesn't allow me to enable these...Can someone
mention how to enable this?

Thanks.

Are you setting these through a Group Policy for the domain or
an OU?

I am trying to set for the local server-

There is an Audit policy set up for the domain(W2k AD)- I am trying to set
additional audit parameters only for this server-
Thanks-

But you ignored the suggestion that you might be ALSO
setting these through the Group Policy.

GPOs override local settings and in some tools might
disable the setting boxes.

Thanks for the reply..

This is the only 2003 server in our domain- We can do this for all win2k
servers and not able to do the local settings only for the 2003 server-

We are working with a vendor in troubleshooting a problem with an
application and the vendor wanted to add more audit policies for this server
alone...and the options are grayed out-

Thanks again.
