AudioSrv stops, windows update does not work

hi,
I have a computer where the AudioSrv (Windows Audio) stops every now and
then. It is set to start automatically. The computer also has problems doing
Windows update (updates fail). The BITS service is started. I have run
virus/ spyware check and also run winsockxpfix. Any ideas how to fix this?

the computer is a fujitsu lifebook tablet convertible

For the windows update issue I suggest posting to the the windows update
newsgroup. In that post give more details including how you are trying to
update, and what exactly happens, what error messages occur, and when.
