Audiodriver Problem: This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Hi

I have a strange problem on a new Toshiba Satellite notebook.
T2500, HD Audio, NVIDIA G7600, Aero Glass.

After installation I get "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" in the
Computer Management --> Device Management --> Audio Device Section. I can
reinstall High Definition Audiodriver but this does not help. When I plug in
an USB audio device I get the same error: "This device cannot start. (Code
10)". USB audio devices correctly recognized. I have to use build 5308 as I
don't have access to newer build over MSDN right now.

The device is a simple Conexant High Definition Audio chip which should work
with Vista "build in" High Definition Audio driver.

Same effect "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" I have when I plug-in an
USB device like a Logitech headset. On the standard PC (PIV 3GHz HT) it
works. USB device plug-in, Vista sees it, installs it and it plays. On the
Toshiba notebook no audio device could be started. Because both audio
devices have same error probably there is something disturbing the audio or
missing? But what is it?

Hi Mike,

I am going to recommend you download the Microsoft BETA Client and report
this issue:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=43655

Open Device Manager > right click the device that is giving problems > click
"Properties" > Details (tab) > click list box below the Device name. select
the information displayed, for example, PCI\VEN_82355&DEV_238948990595

You might see multiple entries listed, select one, and press CTRL + A to
select all, CTRL + C to copy, in the Microsoft BETA Client window, paste the
contents into the descript window, and add the same explanation of the
problem thats taking place. Click next and follow the rest of instructions
to sent it in.

I reported... but am I really the only one with that problem?
I reinstalled Vista 3times and have the same effect.
