Audio Problems

I can't listen to music because it allways skips on windows vista, on XP
works perfect.
i don't know if its a prossesor problem or maybe ram or my audio driver ??
what can i do

I have a Via KT800-neo series board from msi with a ALC655 audio chip, AMD
3000+,512 Mb Ram, Maxtor 160 Gb SATA

Bob, you have the same audio card ?? or maybe an AMD ?
