Audio pop at end of faded segment

Sometimes when I "Set end trim point" and "fade" on a custom Audio/Music
track the last frame will revert back to it's unfaded volume level causing a
rather annoying chirp or pop. What's causing this and what can I do to fix it?

Hello there,

I have found that saving just that clip as DV-AVI and then re-import
followed by zooming in on the timeline and deleting the small portion that
you can get from the end of the clip fixes the problem...tedious I
know....its odd that Microsoft did not sort this problem pout in SP2

Yeah, that's pretty tedious.

Microsoft needs to fix this problem, it's one of the core functions of the
program.

I had your problem twice only....the first time was ages back and
nothing I did except trimming the end off did any good. The other more
recent one was caused by some sort of problem on my system and by accident I
solved it. I had spent some time trimming the smallest possible bit off the
end and it "kind of" worked but not fully and I gave up on it to do other
things.....A day or so later I returned to the problem and it had just
disappeared....I had re-booted the system since last working on that file
and had done nothing in the way of using/editing any media so I assume it
was the re-boot. That kind of situation can only get worse as time passes,
the more complex the system the more difficult it will be finding the
solution.
