Audio for videos won't work, but MP3s will...

Hi, I hope someone here can help me... This morning I stopped getting sound
for video files. DVDs, wma, avi, mpg, the whole lot. But MP3 will still work,
as will windows sounds. I know it's not a problem with the files, as they
were working fine yesterday. Today, nada. No codec pack seems to help, and
I've tried a few different viewing programs, but still nothing. The only
thing I've done differently today was run some virus scanners- but it seems
strange to me that they'd do this.
When I use Avicodec to get more detailed information for any video file, it
gives me this error message:

Media Player Classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may

So, any ideas? I'm utterly stumped.

Open WMP>Tools>Options>File types tab
Now see what is or is not checked. Check them all if you like, click Apply
and OK.
