Audio File Nightmare

Someone please help me! Whenever I try to save audio
files into my frontpage page, it starts to import it and
then gives me this message:

An error occurred when trying to access your frontpage
webgfiles. Authors if authoring against the webserver
please contact the webmaster for this server's site. Web
masters - please see the servers system log for more
details.

It only does it when I'm trying to save audio files. What
does it mean and how do I fix it? Anyone know before I
have to spend $35 to find out?

How big are the files?

of lots of little things.
 
sometimes, when a file is big enough (seems like greater than 1MB), you're
best off moving it into the FrontPage web using windows explorer and copying
it directly to the web.

Hi Rhonda,

Audio files are normally very large and as such don't work very well with import or publish. Instead FTP the files then open the web
on the net and do a Tools | Recalc Hyperlinks to update the FP meta dictionaries.
 
yes,
I believe the limit is 1MB for import.
copy it with windows explorer or even when you see it in "my documents"
there's functions on the top left of the screen (in windows xp at least) for
"move this file", "copy this file" , etc.

I tried that already I think. I drug it from my desktop
into the folder and it started importing and then gave me
the error message anyway. Is this what you meant or am I
missing it?

Sorry that I am not as Frontpage saavy as I am gorgeous
and can't quite make out your instructions.
Could you repeat it in "Blonde" terms and type slowly.

Hi Rhonda,

When you drag files into FrontPage, you are importing. You need to use
Windows Explorer to copy the files to your local web server's file system,
not through FrontPage.
