Audio Cds not being recognised

I put an audio cd in my cd-rw today, and windows doesnt
recognise that there is anything on it, let alone play
it. I tried rebooting pc, and then tried another audio
cd, and its just coming up as empty cd.
On properties, the pie is all blue, but the data used is
0.

Please advise
